Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Do you read poetry the same way you read a novel? Do you read a letter the same way you read an owner’s manual? Do you expect to read a history book that began with “Once upon a time. . . .”? Of course you don’t.

Wanted: Extraordinary Bible studies for ordinary people, scholarly explanations-but in plain English, history to bring context to biblical stories.
Found: Sandra Glahn's remarkable Coffee Cup Series! Glahn sets solid theological content into a conversational style for any reader to enjoy. Prepare yourself to be delighted yet challenged as you imbibe the truths of the scriptures addressed in this series.

5 out of 5 stars Hot Topic for the Women's Bible Study!   April 30, 2006

Of the Coffee Cup Bible Study series, Solomon Latte is the "hottest." This one also has more of Glahn's excellent commentary. Her scholarship does not detract from the beauty of the poetry or the message of the Song of Songs. She has a real gift for putting culture into context.

This study should open up some real conversations with the group and the husbands!

The Coffee Cup series has the Biblical text printed in the study. I always have it in my briefcase.

5 out of 5 stars Definitely not your grandmother's devotional!   May 10, 2006

Solomon Latte is definitely NOT your grandmother's devotional book!

Ms. Glahn skillfully unpacks Song of Solomon as a work of poetry. Coupling her research into the poetic genre of the day with her expertise in sexual intimacy in marriage, Solomon Latte is one compelling study.

An added bonus- specific questions created for personal application and reflection, and more general questions designed for group discussion. Our small group worked through Solomon Latte and always had plenty to talk about without ever feeling like we were overstepping the lines of propriety. Sex is a topic rarely discussed in the church... Solomon Latte is a breath of fresh air!

5 out of 5 stars I Highly Recommend This Study Series!   April 26, 2006

Again in Solomon Latte, Sandra Glahn has taken a portion of scripture and compiled a six-week study that will enrich, encourage, challenge, and comfort the Bible student's life. Glahn's insight into history, customs, language, and culture helped me to read through Song of Songs with an understanding like never before. I highly recommend all four of the Coffee Cup Bible Studies and am looking forward to seeing what comes next!

5 out of 5 stars It will challenge you marriage, make you blush, and get you deeper in the Word.   June 20, 2006

We're going through this study on the Song of Solomon in our Woman's group and they are loving it!
I keep on hearing comments like, "I needed this class 55 years ago." And, "Our young people need to hear this."
This study contains a frank discussion on sex-done-right from God's perspective, that will not only challenge marriages, but also unlock some mysteries in the Song of Solomon that may have been previously perplexing to us.
I took a master's-level class on the "Song of Solomon" and this study still gave me insights I have not heard before. A great resource.
