Morning Cup of Coffee daily devotion was birthed out of a need to have something to jumpstart my day. As so many others, I too was becoming addicted to caffeine in the mornings. God began to minister to my spirit, reminding me that He is my "cup of coffee". "Real" coffee comes with a crash, but with God there are only higher heights.
Morning Cup of Coffee was intended to be simple but not plain. Often, we make the Word of God deeper than God intended. What good is a deep sermon if everyone walks away more confused than before the sermon? Morning Cup of Coffee was birthed with the intention of being a seed. When you read these daily "God inspired" nuggets, you are planting a seed. When you put the book down and begin your day, you begin to walk out what you’ve just read. That seed begins to grow into fruit and the word is made manifested. It is up to you, the reader, to either enjoy the fruit or stump its growth. (My prayer is that you will enjoy the fruit.)
For those who were MCOC e-mail recipients, MCOC did not die God was sending it through the process of birthing it into what He intended all along. Thank you for supporting my vision and for your prayers. It is my prayer that MCOC daily doses will be read among many and lives will be enhanced and God's glory will be seen through the changed lives.
I would like to send out a special "Thank You" to those who were truly in the "ditches" with me on those late nights, leading into early mornings waiting to hear God speak. Many of these MCOCs were birthed out of a tough season in my life. My husband was away on a six month deployment and I was left to care for four children and run a household. Though it was a tough season, it also became the season that brought me closer to my first love, Jesus.
Each and every one of these Daily Doses is personal for me and I pray they will become personal for you as well. Whatever you do, please do not read this as just another book. Allow the anointing of God to change your life during this next thirty days worth of exhortations. 2010 is being said to be the year of “The Open Door” incorporate these Daily Doses into your life journey and watch your mind line up with your spirit.
